Surgery's a success!
Malachi's surgery was a success...no complications at all. YAY! He is sore of course and sleeping a lot. He's still sleeping right now and has been sleeping for like 12 or 13 hours. I'm a little afraid to wake him if he needs his sleep, but I have been checking on him alot and seems to be doing fine. Thank you for your prayers!

He's gone...
Isaac passed away August 7th, 2008 in our basement. I don't really know what time it was so I guess he could've passed away in the night and even on the 6th but we didn't know he was gone until we went down to give him some medicine. I've never seen anyone or any animal dead before (besides at funerals or roadkill)...so it was a pretty big shock. Even though he was evil at times (mostly to strangers because he liked to hiss at everyone) he was still a good cat and we loved him dearly. It was really heartbreaking having to bury him. I just hope he didn't suffer to much in the end and that he died peacefully in his sleep, but I will always be sad that he died alone. I always thought he would live so much longer than that...he was only three years and a few months old. He was the first cat I ever had though and Matt and I got him just a month or two after we got married....he was very special to us both.
I'm still in shock and denial..I keep thinking I'll see his fat chubby self bounding through the house. Poor Mr. Isaac...I miss you.

Malachi
Malachi had his doctor's appointment today and got two shots in the legs and one on the finger. He needs one more test which is a lead test I think...but for some reason they couldn't do that there right then so I have to take him down to the hospital lab tomorrow to have it done. I feel so bad for him getting poked so much.
He weighs 18.15lbs now and is 28.75in long which puts him in the 75 percentile for his height and the 25 percentile for his weight. He's gonna be a tall kid. :)

Isaac continued...
Well, we took the cat to the vet...he has a urinary tract infection. Poor kitty...
The vet gave us some meds for him to give him two times a day so hopefully that will help. He looks so miserable and now he just needs a bath because he's a mess.

Isaac
Our cat, Isaac, hasn't been doing so good since leaving Ford Street. He threw up 3 times on the way home and since we've been home he's been sick. He's thrown up twice and just lies around constantly and doesn't seem very active. We've found him twice curled up in a corner and once more in his cat carrier which usually he hates...and now all of a sudden he likes it. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.
Surgery
August 21st, Malachi will be having surgery so please pray for him. It isn't any kind of "Major" surgery, but still....it's surgery....so there can be complications. Pray that everything will go good and that he'll be okay. I'm really scared about it because I don't want him to be alone in there but I'm afraid I'll pass out because I'm not good with blood and shots, etc... Matt will hopefully be going in with him in the doctor will let him but I wish I could. As long as Matt is there though I won't have to worry to much about Malachi feeling alone.
I can't go into to much detail about the surgery because it is kind of a private thing and if Malachi wants you to know about it he can tell you when he is older. :) Some people do already know about it...like a few from our young couples group from church. So the date is finally set! Please pray!

Doctor appointment
Malachi will be having his 9 month appointment on August 4th (which is my b-day). Hopefully he doesn't need to get as many shots this time. I know at some of his other ones he needed like 5 or 6 shots but I think it's down to only 3..maybe 4. I still feel bad for him because I hate shots myself and I hate seeing him in pain.
Back from PA
Just got back yesterday from PA. I had a great time and so did the rest of the family. I only wish our time there could've been longer.
Hello and welcome!
Welcome to my blog! I'm new to this...I'll try to remember to keep coming back for updates. Not that anything that exciting ever really happens in my life. :)
